Program description

Stu is an SMS-based spaced repetition study tool. Users send study material (PDFs or photos of notes) to a designated phone number. Stu extracts key concepts, generates study questions, and texts them back on a randomized schedule to help users learn and retain the material.

How to opt in

You opt in to Stu by texting the Stu phone number. By sending a message, you consent to receive recurring automated study question messages from Stu.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies based on your settings. The default is up to 5 messages per day. You can adjust this at any time by texting a preference (e.g. "3 a day").

Message and data rates

Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

How to opt out

Reply STOP to any message at any time to unsubscribe. You will receive no further messages. Reply START to resubscribe.

Stu is available on all major US carriers. Carrier support for short codes or long codes may vary.
